Description:
This is solid state protection board, no relay, very low resistance 0.050 Ohm. Specially designed for Adcom GFA-565 amplifier, easy to install. After powering up the amplifier, the board will check voltage at the amp output. If there is no high DC voltage the board will connect your speaker in about 3 seconds. In case of amp failure the board detects DC voltage and disconnect speaker immediately. To reset you need to power of the amp. Protects your speakers from amp failure and eliminates turn on/off pop. Installation:
1. remove 4 nuts from speaker terminals, remove white and black wires and metal links. Later you will need 4 nuts but not metal links.
2. cut 2 terminal rings from white wires and solder white wires to the IN pads on the board
3. drop the board on the binding post as pictured and secure with nuts. 2 black wires ring terminals going under black binding posts nuts.
4. run a wire from bridge rectifier AC (not DC !!) terminal to AC pad on the board.
